I clocked into Target, looking around
Suddenly, love was all over the ground.
Aisles pink with glitter, hearts, and red.
Teddy bears smiling and cards that said
“Be mine,” “You’re sweet,” “Here’s a treat.”
There were chocolate-filled heart-shaped delights.
Plushies holding love tight.
Mugs that said “XOXO” and socks covered in hearts.
Keychains and mini love decor.
Candles judging my cart
Like “girl… You single? Then buy you a heart.”
So if love had a home in a big red store,
Target had feelings stacked aisle to aisle
With carts full of hearts and hope.
Love isn’t perfect, but sometimes it’s sweet,
Wrapped in pink paper and priced neatly!
